Fast, innovative and efficient

Twin Concept X-Series boasts an unprecedented and innovative architecture, designed to combine maximum performance and efficiency. Its solid anchoring to the floor is the starting point for a highly stable robot without IMM-related vibrations. Its sturdy structure makes it possible to use powerful servo motors that ensure powerful accelerations and low cycle times. Finally, an exclusive cam kinematic motion allows the use of a single motor for the double linear extraction motion and wrist rotation, extremely fast and electrically efficient.

Light and resistant materials from the racing world

The frame anchored to the ground is robust enough to provide high stability. Its moving parts are mostly obtained from highly resistant aluminium alloys, while its arms are made of carbon fibre. Carefully optimized profiles and geometries guarantee the highest resistance and reliability, while reducing inertia. In other words, the Twin Concept X-Series adopts highly sophisticated technical solutions, commonly used in the aeronautical and racing worlds, to get the most extreme speed and acceleration.

Simply All-In-One

The Twin Concept X-Series robot doesn’t require any external palletizing axis or related gripping system, typical of all traditional side-entry robots. Its long strokes in all the three axes, together with the built-in wrist, allow the robot to pick, place and palletize with a single gripping system sequentially. This way, programming and managing the robot is even simpler since we avoid the simultaneous coordination of an external palletizing axis.

Say good-bye to transfer issues between gripping systems

Transferring parts to different gripping systems is a very delicate process, especially in multi-cavity applications, where misalignments and piece-droppings are more frequent. By using a single gripping system it’s possible to avoid these inconveniences and the related possible downtimes and productivity loss.

Self-lubricating sliding blocks requiring no maintenance in the long run

The Concept Twin X-Series side-entry robot is equipped self-lubricating sliding blocks with roll-by balls on carbon steel prismatic guides. Thanks to this system, the robot runs for more than 40,000 km without needing guides’ lubrication, thus minimizing both maintenance and machine downtimes.
