Modula W X-Series

Modula W X-Series is the side entry robot designed to combine minimal footprint on the ground with maximum productivity in stack-molding applications. A solid steel structure, light alloys and carbon fiber define the DNA of a machine aimed at obtaining maximum performance both in IML applications and high-speed take-out operations.

Accuracy, efficiency and reduced footprint on the ground

The Modula W X-Series boasts a very limited lateral footprint that allows for a higher number of IMMs to be placed side by side. Such layout, combined with a structure appositely designed for stack molds, ensures the highest productivity given the same occupied ground surface.

Equipped with the most advanced Campetella EVO control unit

Campetella EVO is a CNC control unit featured by last generation hardware and software that assures the most advanced functions for maximum control. Through a light and ergonomic interface, it allows to easily program and manage all the robot’s functions.

Sturdy, elegant and functional

Its frame was designed to ensure strength and precision. Its transversal axis is positioned in the upper area of the robot to save space for the unloading and overturning axes in the lower area. The latter allows for the injection molded containers to be positioned on the conveyor belt with the opening facing downwards, thus guaranteeing the highest level of hygiene.

The robot is featured with a very elegant design, given by its white frame in contrast with the rough carbon fibre parts. The safety guards made of aluminum and transparent polycarbonate lend a fresh and light look, making the production environment pleasant and refined.

Competitive technology

The moving parts are mostly made of high-strength aluminum alloys and carbon fibre arms. Carefully optimized profiles and geometries guarantee the highest resistance and reliability, while reducing inertia. Modula W X-Series adopts highly sophisticated technical solutions, commonly used in the aeronautical and racing worlds, to get the most extreme speed and acceleration.

Innovative carbon-fibre arm with twisted profile

This robot is equipped with carbon-fibre arms with twisted profile. Such a solution gives the robot matchless rigidity, freeing the gripping tool from all vibrations. The twisted profile also reduces the arm’s footprint, making both the opening stroke and the cycle time in IMMs decrease.

Self-lubricating sliding blocks requiring no maintenance in the long run

Modula W X-Series is equipped self-lubricating sliding blocks with roll-by balls on carbon steel prismatic guides. Thanks to this system, the robot runs for more than 40,000 km without needing guides’ lubrication, thus minimizing both maintenance and machine downtimes.
