Stable and anchored to the ground

Just like a race car, Modula Twin X-Series is the result of careful design choices targeted at guaranteeing optimal acceleration and speed with total stability.

The solid standing base in welded steel represents the foundation for a structure that is anchored to the ground and free from any vibration originating from the press. The load-bearing bar, fixed with rigid supports to the base, is kept low to the ground, guaranteeing a low centre of gravity and reduced movement. All of this translates into extremely robust mechanics, necessary to support the maximum drive of the powerful brushless servomotors powering moving parts.

Light and resistant where it matters

While the standing frame is heavy and robust enough to offer high levels of stability, the moving parts are predominately machined from solid using high-resistance aluminium alloys and carbon-fibre arms. Profiles and shapes have been carefully refined to guarantee maximum resistance and reliability, reducing inertia. In other words, Modula Twin X-Series adopts highly sophisticated technical solutions more commonly found in the fields of aviation and motor-racing, in its search for the most powerful acceleration and speed.

Innovative carbon-fibre arm with twisted profile

Similar to technology used in aircraft wings, Modula Twin X-Series is equipped with a carbon-fibre arm with a specially shaped, twisted profile. This solution gives the robot unequalled rigidity, practically eliminating all vibration from the gripping tool. The specially shaped twisted profile also minimises the dimensions of the arm, which is particularly useful for reducing the opening stroke (and cycle time) in injection-moulding presses. To summarise: maximum precision under the most demanding usage conditions, with high payloads and minimal cycle times.

Self-lubricating runners, long-term zero maintenance

The Modula Twin X-Series side-entry robot is equipped with self-lubricating guide blocks using ball recirculation on prismatic rails in tempered steel. This system allows operation without greasing the rails for over 40,000 km, offering significant savings on maintenance and reduced system outages.
