The fast, sturdy and powerful and side-entry robot for stack molding applications

Modula Twin Maxi X-Series is a side-entry robot recommended for fast work cycles with high payloads, in multi-cavity applications for high tonnage IMMs.

Campetella EVO is a CNC control unit featured by last generation hardware and software that assures the most advanced functions for maximum control. Through a light and ergonomic interface, it allows to easily program and manage all the robot’s functions.

Stable and anchored to the ground

Just as racing cars, our Modula Maxi X-Series results from an accurate design choice that focuses on ensuring maximum accelerations and speed while granting total stability.

Its solid welded steel structure anchored to the ground makes it free from all vibrations coming from the IMM. Its beam, solidly anchored to the ground, is placed at a limited height from the floor level, thus ensuring a low barycentre and reduced jerky movements. All this translates into extremely robust mechanics, which are necessary to stand the powerful brushless servo motors of the moving parts.

Light and resistant materials from the racing world

The frame anchored to the ground is robust enough to provide high stability. Its moving parts are mostly obtained from highly resistant aluminium alloys, while its arms are made of carbon fibre. Carefully optimized profiles and geometries guarantee the highest resistance and reliability, while reducing inertia. In other words, Concept X-Series adopts highly sophisticated technical solutions, commonly used in the aeronautical and racing worlds, to get the most extreme speed and acceleration.

Innovative carbon-fibre arm with twisted profile

This robot is equipped with carbon-fibre arms with twisted profile. Such a solution gives the robot matchless rigidity, freeing the gripping tool from all vibrations. The twisted profile also reduces the arm’s footprint, making both the opening stroke and the cycle time in IMMs decrease.

Self-lubricating sliding blocks requiring no maintenance in the long run

Modula W X-Series is equipped self-lubricating sliding blocks with roll-by balls on carbon steel prismatic guides. Thanks to this system, the robot runs for more than 40,000 km without needing guides’ lubrication, thus minimizing both maintenance and machine downtimes.
