Plastpol 2022 is getting closer and Campetella will be part of it exhibiting three Cartesian robots: its iconic GS2 X-Series, a CO2 and a RHEA Prime top-entry.
The latter is the smallest within the Campetella Cartesian family robots. An ultra-fast and compact mix of functionality and accuracy aimed at offering high performance at the highest quality-price ratio when dealing with multi-cavity take-out on IMMs up to 150 tons.
The CO2 is a last generation industrial linear robot, designed for high performance, accuracy and reliability. Recommended for small and medium tonnage IMMs, it is equipped with the most advanced functions for the ultimate level of control.
Still, the spotlight will surely be on our best-seller GS2 X-Series. Mainly intended for the food packaging industry, its strength lies in its extreme performance during take-out operations, achieved thanks to the innovative construction technologies and materials typical of the aerospace industry, such as carbon fiber and light alloys.
Designed to fit medium-sized tonnage IMMs, it boasts ultra-performing engines and highly optimized structures gained through the most advanced Finite Element Method (FEM) techniques, resulting in class-leading accelerations for operating cycle times up to 2.5 seconds, low vibrations and the highest reliability.
The GS2 X-Series is now available also in the new GS2W and GS3W models, designed to perform stack-molding applications. Entirely made of carbon fiber, from the double vertical axis to the two-profile extraction beam, besides being extremely elegant, they stand out for their side-entry performance in a top-entry size, in terms of both costs and footprint on the ground.
Sustainability is at the base of the Campetella corporate culture. How do we achieve it?
A significant reduction in energy consumption is certainly our winning strategy.
Our automation is equipped with a dynamic vacuum management system, in order to reduce compressed air consumption up to 60%, if compared to traditional gripping systems. The compressed air required to generate the vacuum is switched on and off dynamically and automatically, in order for the vacuum to be generated only when the product is picked up, before being switched off until a minimum threshold is reached.
KERS Technology is another strategy we employ to achieve power saving. The particular architecture of the mutually connected drives allows for the recovery of the braking axles’ kinetic energy, which is therefore available for the axles in motion.
Finally, through the Jog Over, we optimizes robot cycles by reducing the IMM’ speed and consumption without any impact on the overall cycle time.
