Campetella at Fakuma 2026

Food Packaging and Medical in focus

In a manufacturing landscape marked by uncertainty and a constant drive for efficiency, automation is the lever that keeps companies competitive: not only in complex processes, but also in high-cadence operations, where speed, quality and reduced direct labor make the difference. Campetella Robotic Center responds with an integrated approach that combines robots of its own design, modular and configurable solutions, and a growing digitalization of services.

At Fakuma 2026 the Italian company focuses its offering on two strategic areas — Food Packaging and Medical — supported by the product innovations and services that strengthen its competitiveness.

Campetella Medical

Automation cell for 5 ml single-dose strips (Campetella — A1-1203)

The Campetella Medical business unit brings to the fair a solution dedicated to the production of 5 ml single-dose strips for pharmaceutical packaging.  The system is designed around ease of use, traceability of production data and quality, rapid configurability and short implementation and qualification times. It is based on the proven tandem of Concept and Spin robots (respectively a side-entry robot and a freely programmable SCARA) and is built in a medical execution for ISO7 cleanroom production. The cell integrates a navigable 3D HMI that supports maintenance and production teams, along with an advanced vision system developed by Egicon, a partner specialized in medical quality control.

Food Packaging

The food packaging demos bring together Campetella robots, high-end European injection molding machines (IMMs) and molds made by some of the most renowned toolmakers in the sector: an ecosystem that conveys the image of truly premium applications.

Modula FP — one robot, two systems

The Modula FP side-entry IML platform makes its Fakuma debut in both of its forms: the same robot base, configurable with an essential output or with fully automated boxing. Both configurations are the subject of several patent applications.

Modula FP StreamLine (Engel — A5-5203+5204)

In its StreamLine configuration, the Modula FP adopts an essential layout with an output conveyor belt, designed for those who prefer manual boxing or a leaner level of automation, without giving up the platform’s performance. At the fair it produces thin wall cups with a 6-cavity Bazigos mold on a 380-ton Engel IMM, demonstrating a cycle time of up to 3.6 seconds and an in-mold intervention time of 1.1 seconds, in-line quality control with a vision system and single scrap removal, and a doorless label magazine with up to 8 hours of autonomy. The same robot base can evolve at any time toward the automated boxing configuration.

Modula FP AutoPack (BMB — A4-4105)

The AutoPack configuration is the fully integrated version of the platform: an automated boxing unit is added to the IML cell for an end-to-end flow from label insertion to final packaging. At the fair it produces oval containers with an 8-cavity Otto Hofstetter mold on a 450-ton BMB EKW 45 HP IMM and demonstrates automated boxing with a top-entry Cartesian robot and a multi-carton magazine that enable several hours of autonomous production without operator intervention. The solution is completed by a cycle time of up to 4 seconds, 100% quality control with single scrap removal and hygienic “open side down” handling.

Modula GS (Campetella — A1-1203)

On display at the Campetella booth, the Modula GS shows how the company’s configurability reaches well beyond food packaging. The demo focuses on ultra-high-speed take-out: the telescopic carbon-fiber in-mold entry arm enables an in-mold intervention time of up to 0.35 seconds. Originally developed for a flower-pot application with a 6-cavity mold, the Modula GS lends itself more broadly to the fast removal of thin-wall molded articles, combining speed, lightness and precision — further proof of how Campetella adapts its platforms to different sectors and products.

GS2 X-Series (Milacron - Ferromatik — A3-3208)

Among Campetella’s best sellers, the GS2 X-Series is a high-speed top-entry robot, ideal for both take-out and IML. At the fair it produces round-oval containers of about 500 ml with a 2-cavity GlaroForm mold on a 180-ton Ferromatik IMM, with a focus on speed, reduced in-mold intervention time — ensured by the carbon-fiber vertical axis — and a small floor footprint. A compact and reliable solution that embodies Campetella’s experience in high-cadence part removal.

CX1 (JSW — Hall B1, booth 1304)

The CX1 E-Series evo is the compact Cartesian robot designed to automate small- and medium-tonnage IMMs. Its key strength is the cantilevered extraction axis, positioned on the opposite side from the hopper: an architecture that eliminates robot-to-hopper collision problems at the root. Hardened-steel prismatic guides with self-lubricating recirculating-ball pads, brushless servomotors on all three axes and ±0.1 mm repeatability make it a precise, reliable platform, while the EVO console — with a 7″ touchscreen and programming wizard — makes part-removal and palletizing cycles immediate. At the fair, on the JSW (Japan Steel Works) booth, the CX1-2A produces screw cap closures with a Plasteel Group mold on a 100-ton JSW JADS100-180U IMM, complete with cap cooling by Virginio Nastri.

SP3R (KT-Sakkas / Oesterle Formenbau — Hall B2, booth 2205)

The SP3R sprue picker comes to Fakuma with a notable new feature: the new 7-inch operator panel, which updates and replaces the previous-generation console, offering a larger, more readable and intuitive interface, together with several software enhancements that make setup and everyday use easier. At the KT-Sakkas / Oesterle Formenbau booth, the SP3R is at work on a stacking-box application, with a single-cavity Oesterle Formenbau mold on an FCS CT-120e IMM. The unit on display is, in effect, a preview of the upgrade that will be introduced on the standard SP3R: in addition to the new console, its equipment will include 2 vacuum lines and 2 gripper commands, for a product with a particularly rich base configuration.

Automatic coilers

Backed by over 40 years of experience, Campetella officially presented at K2025 its latest-generation range of machines for coiling and packaging flexible tubes and hoses, from corrugated to smooth HDPE pipes. The solutions are scalable, handle coil diameters from the smallest sizes up to 2000 mm, and offer a choice of packaging modes — elastic band, film or strapping — to suit each customer’s production and packaging requirements. They can also be integrated with palletizing and robotic handling for turnkey lines that extend all the way to end-of-line logistics.

Investment in research and development continues, refining the existing range and generating new patent applications to protect each innovation. And the offering keeps growing: in the coming months, new highest-performance models will debut for coils with an outer diameter of 600 to 1200 mm, fitted with a double strapping unit. Compact, extremely reliable and easy to maintain.

Amphora platform — IoT and service digitalization

Unveiled at K2025 and now being consolidated, Amphora is Campetella’s service digitalization platform: an advanced monitoring layer that sits on top of the robot’s HMI in read-only mode, for safe control with no risk of interfering with production parameters. Its architecture is lightweight — an on-board PC and a network connection are enough — and it is multi-user and multi-plant, with data access from anywhere via PC, tablet or smartphone; it can also be retrofitted onto Campetella’s installed base, including robots installed from 2014 onward. Amphora offers a complete range of real-time data services: OEE and quality indicators, real-time alarms, cycle time and energy consumption monitoring, 3D diagnostics, an AI-based assistant and access to documentation and manuals from any device. Currently in a pilot phase at European customers, Amphora is a true digital control room that makes Campetella solutions smarter, more transparent and easier to manage throughout their entire life cycle.
